Slide and Fold was founded over 20 years ago with one goal in mind – to provide the highest quality, fully bespoke doors and windows, delivered directly to you.
Fast forward to now, we are leading the charge in British-made doors and windows. Our focus is on providing the best possible service to each and every customer – no compromises, just great service, every time.
The history of Slide and Fold

The Slide & Fold story started back in 1977, with a local, family-owned business called Weathershield.
Weathershield was started by Malcolm Cook, and was one of the first companies to supply and install PVC windows in their area. As the business saw sustained growth, we branched out, grew our product portfolio and spread across the country!

An introduction to how the business was formed
In 1996, Slide and Fold was established as a pioneering online sales tool, initially built to sell aluminium bi-fold doors as an accompaniment to the PVC windows and doors already being sold by Weathershield.

Fast forward to the present; by drawing on our decades of experience, we’re able to provide the highest quality doors and windows, at unbeatable prices and with the best service possible. We have even retained some of our original expert employee’s from when the business began.
